The QA Specialist ensures all textile raw materials and finished garments meet strict quality, safety, and performance standards. This role involves inspecting materials, auditing production processes, and managing compliance from raw fabric to the final product.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Inspection
Inspect incoming raw fabrics, trims, and accessories.
Check final garments for measurement accuracy and defects.
Approve first-production samples before mass manufacturing begins.
Identify sewing, shading, and construction defects early.
Testing & Compliance
Review laboratory test reports for colorfastness and shrinkage.
Ensure compliance with global textile safety regulations.
Verify fiber content and care labeling accuracy.
Conduct fabric weight and tensile strength evaluations.
Factory & Supplier Audit
Audit manufacturing facilities for process control standards.
Train factory QC teams on specific brand requirements.
Monitor factory performance and defect rate trends.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering or Fashion Technology.
Alternative: Degree in Apparel Management or related field.
3+ years of experience in apparel QA/QC.
Deep knowledge of garment construction and sewing techniques.
